Interesting Times...

So, our world has come to another one of those times. I recently found out that something like the coronavirus has happened before, and the funny thing is, it's happened 100 years apart from each other. First in 1720, there was the plague, in 1820, cholera, in 1920, the spanish flu, and now here we are in 2020, the coronavirus. It seems to me that history does, in fact, repeat itself. Anyway, I thought I would share some of my thoughts on this pandemic.

I feel like our world has responded as fast as the virus has spreaded, which of course is a good thing. I'm just saying, like, it's been a tremendous change in how we live. Maybe there's a way we could figure out how people before managed to get their lives back in order once their pandemic ended? People nowadays are simply existing and not living, which is how I interpret it. But we all have to do our part to survive and not spread this disease around.

At first I thought I would eventually get pretty bored once this shutdown started. But I found myself enjoying the time I have now to do fun things as well as stick to a routine that keeps my mental, and possibly physical, health in balance. There's certainly a lot of things we can do nowadays to keep feeling entertained and busy. So far, the new things I've started are jigsaw puzzles and origami. I've also stuck to my knitting and playing video games, as well as watching movies and tv shows. If there's one thing I'm glad we're still able to do, is to get outside and enjoy the weather by going for walks. I sometimes find myself wondering how to distance myself from other walkers when there's not much way to do that when there's a number of people out in the same space, but I've managed so far. Anyway, I would like to share one more thing before I wrap this up.

If there is a chance of me getting the coronavirus and a chance of me dying, I would accept it. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but if it happens, maybe it would be my time. With how things are, I'm not afraid of death, and am prepared to face it if it happens. God and Jesus has my back, so either way, I'm not afraid, He will take care of me and everyone else. He's the biggest being in and out of the universe, and has overcome our world. So whatever happens, God has already been there to take care of it. Well, anyway, those are my thoughts so far on this pandemic. Remember to stay safe and wash your hands!
